Zahnimplantate

Fehlende Zähne lassen sich dauerhaft durch natürlich aussehende, langlebige Implantate ersetzen.

Patient smiling after implant treatment

A dental implant is a small titanium post placed in the jaw where a tooth is missing. Once it has bonded with the bone, a crown is fitted on top. The result looks, feels and works like a natural tooth: you eat, speak and smile without thinking about it.

Who it is for

Implants suit most adults with one or more missing teeth and healthy gums. If bone has been lost, a small graft can be done first. We check all of this at the first visit with a 3D scan, so there are no surprises later.

What happens, step by step

  • First visit: examination, 3D scan and a written plan with the full cost
  • Placement: the post is placed under local anaesthetic, usually in under an hour
  • Healing: three to four months while the bone bonds with the post
  • Crown: the final tooth is fitted and adjusted to your bite

Looking after it

An implant is cleaned like any other tooth: brushing, flossing and a checkup every six months. With that routine, implants routinely last for decades.

Häufige Fragen

Does it hurt?

The area is fully numbed. Most people describe pressure rather than pain, and manage the days after with ordinary painkillers.

How long does the whole process take?

Usually four to six months from the first visit to the final crown, most of which is healing time at home.

What does it cost?

The written plan at your first visit lists everything, including the crown. There are no extra charges added later.

Can I get an implant on the same day as an extraction?

Sometimes, when the bone and gum are healthy. The 3D scan tells us whether that is safe for you.
